MATTHEW BOISMIER, CAMBRIA LOGAN, EVA TAYLOR | Three Ways Home

A dynamic, multifaceted portrait of Sunshine Coast life, sparking conversation and reflection on memory, environment, and interpretation. United by place but distinct in perspective, each artist offers a unique interpretation of the Sunshine Coast’s iconic landscapes. Eva Taylor’s vivid acrylic landscapes capture the Coast’s energy and colour, Matthew Boismier’s evocative watercolours reflect the emotional tone of the environment, and Cambria Logan’s high contrast minimalism and use of a variety of mediums lend themselves to the creation of striking sculptural works. Together, these artists invite viewers to explore how a shared subject can be transformed through three artistic lenses.

Passionate about art from a young age, Eva Taylor’s work focuses on landscapes and wildlife inspired by the beauty of the coastlines, forests, and mountains of Western Canada. Taylor aims to capture the light and wonder of our natural landscapes. Cambria Logan creates West Coast inspired minimalist art, attempting to distill coastal scenes down to key elements that capture glimpses into the wonder of the Sunshine Coast. Matthew Boismier specializes in Character Design and Visual Development for the animation industry and has been contributing to the Vancouver animation industry in visual ways since 2012. When he’s not designing for Animation, he’s delving deeply into the practice of lively watercolours that capture the unique and iconic quirks, people, and popular spots of the Sunshine Coast.
