IN THIS TOGETHER – SUNSHINE COAST PRIDE EXHIBITION (mixed media) | Curated by Anna Nobile

For this group exhibition 2SLGBTQIA+ artists, emerging artists, makers and creatives of all ages on the Sunshine Coast including the upper Coast, and qathet (Powell River) have been invited to submit their original creations in any medium. Curator Anna Nobile conceived of the exhibition title as an opportunity for the entire community to unite in welcoming and celebrating queer art and creatives during Pride month and beyond on the Sunshine Coast.

“So much of the language around queerness centres around “outness:” being out, coming out, and being on the outside,” says Nobile. “Displays of support, small and large, bring us inside.”

Exhibiting artists are planning to be in attendance regularly during the exhibition (schedule to be announced) to offer insight on their works and practices.

“With our exhibition, In This Together, we invite you, whoever you are, inside the gallery, inside our community to share our work and our stories so we can meet, have a conversation and get to know one another better,” notes Nobile.
