Let’s Celebrate Arts in Our Community!

Gibsons Public Art Gallery (GPAG) is a unique registered charity, powered by volunteers and backed by an amazing community. Unlike most public galleries, GPAG is not directly affiliated with any level of government and has been running successfully and independently since 2003. We’re called “Gibsons” Public Art Gallery as a gift from the gallery founders to the town and the entire Sunshine Coast, BC.

Even though less than 10% of the gallery’s operating budget originates from public funding, 100% of our activities focus on the public realm. As per our vision and mandate, GPAG is a free, accessible community space with open doors to everyone – to share all forms of art and culture on the Sunshine Coast. We’re also a popular destination for the tourist industry and newcomers to the area with over 18,000 visits a year.

Last year we were selected the People’s Choice Favourite Art Gallery on the Sunshine Coast for the fifth year in a row. We’re so grateful!

Why sponsor us?

Our primary exhibitions (an average of 20 per year) plus exhibitions in Joe’s Lounge (12 per year) are graciously backed by corporate sponsorship which is recognized prominently. When you partner with the Gallery, you partner with the arts, a vital force in our community. Sponsors are recognized on all exhibition promotions/advertising, on social media, at special events/openings, and on exhibition videos which are circulated widely. We’d love to have you on board! Sponsorship Levels

We’re offering three levels of community/corporate sponsorship in 2025:

Become a GPAG Community Partner

Community partnership offers multiple ways for your brand/company to contribute and be recognized through exhibitions and special events with an opportunity to also host a complimentary corporate event at the gallery. Community partners are recognized and celebrated for a full calendar year via Gallery promotions, on our website and major supporter signage.

Become a Main Gallery Sponsor

Select an exhibition in the Main Gallery and be warmly recognized throughout the exhibition run, with a special invitation to your team for the opening reception. We also create an archival video celebrating the exhibition which may be shared with your clients and circle in perpetuity.

Become an Eve Smart Gallery or Joe’s Lounge Sponsor

Support an exhibition in the Eve Smart Gallery or Joe’s Lounge and be warmly recognized throughout the exhibition run with a special invitation to your team for the opening reception. For Eve Smart Gallery sponsors, we also create an archival video celebrating the exhibition which may be shared with your clients and circle in perpetuity.
