Star Wars: The GPAG Holiday Special
Member’s Open House/Holiday Party: Friday Dec 11, 6-9 PM
Join us, the Gibsons Intergalactic Public Art Gallery, as we create a collaborative community art display to celebrate all that is good and bad about Star Wars. In addition to toys and collectibles and all things Star Wars, the exhibit will feature a special effects green screen that visitors to the gallery are invited to experiment on using personal cameras and computers. This is an event you should be a part of! Search your feelings. You know this to be true.
STAR WARS AT THE GALLERY:
December 10th – Exhibit opens with special after-school & evening hours*
December 11th – “The Special Effects of Star Wars” – a talk by the Art Institute of Vancouver’s lead FX instructor, Will Maher, 3:30-4:30pm. Admission $2, suggested donation.
December 13th – Star Wars Origami with instructor Miyuki Shinkai, 3:30-4:30 pm. All ages, $10/$8 for members.
December 17th – Star Wars: The Art Awakens multi-craft workshop, with instructor Sandy Buck, 3:30-5:00 pm. All ages, $10/$8 for members.

*The Gallery will be open every day for the Star Wars exhibit, with special after school & evening hours (until 8pm!) on December 10th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th. The 23rd is the final day of the exhibit.
