‘Heart Full’, a celebration of a creative life well lived, is an exhibition of the last remaining works of Sunshine Coast ceramic artist Susanne Biden.
From the artist:
“I make art in order to speak what would otherwise remain unspoken. Expressing depths of feeling in clay is easier for me and more satisfying than using the spoken or written word. I believe that what is intensely personal can be communicated to others in a language that is universal. In my work, I am drawn again and again to the edge between seductive beauty and images that are repellant. Often the viewer reacts to this discord viscerally and is stirred into thoughts and feelings of their own. Eliciting these reactions is the focus of my work.”
