Join us to celebrate the creativity of our community during Present Tense, our annual exhibition featuring the work of GPAG members in all different mediums and styles.
Present Tense first began with GPAG’s inception in 2003. Twenty-one years later we continue to invite all member artists, makers, and creatives to exhibit their work here as a fundraiser for local artists and for GPAG. In this exhibition you will find works in all different mediums and styles, including paintings, drawings, prints, pottery, photography, textiles, sculpture, wood working, and much more. There is truly something for everyone! This year we have moved the exhibition to our busiest season in order to generate more exposure for our artists, highlighting the vibrant arts community here on the Sunshine Coast to all who visit us. We have also partnered with the Coast Cultural Alliance’s Purple Banner Studio Program to highlight artists with open studios that you can visit, and we have introduced an optional theme of Celebrating the Sea.
Once again this year we are also exhibiting a Members’ Tiny Exhibition in Joe’s Lounge. Featuring artworks that are under 6” x 6” in a variety of mediums and styles, these Tiny pieces are available to be taken home immediately after purchasing for a set price of $35, making them the perfect gift or souvenir.
