Leslie Thomson, President of GPAG, issued the following statement:
It is with deep regret that I wish to inform you, under current circumstances with COVID-19, the Gallery has decided to temporarily close until April 7th, 2020.
This decision was not an easy one to make and was deliberated by the Board for days.
However, in the interest and safety of our staff, our volunteers our members and the community at large, we have chosen to temporarily close the Gallery effective immediately.
This will be a disappointment to our young members who have signed up to attend the Shout Out exhibition and Spring Break Art Camps. Our aim has always been in the interest of all and therefore we have made this hard decision.
We will be monitoring this closely and further updates will be made available via our Website and social media posts.
Once again we apologize and am convinced you will understand the circumstances that we are working within.
