BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2026 | CALL TO ARTISTS

DEADLINE: OCTOBER 15TH, 2025

In 2026 we’re holding space for Black History Month from February 12th – March 8th. All visual artists of African descent, working in any style or medium, are invited to submit a proposal using our online form by the deadline of October 15th. Taking place in our Eve Smart Gallery, the aim of this exhibition is to provide an opportunity for conversation and connection. Previous Black History Month exhibitions include T. Owens Union’s Stories That Still Need to Be Told (2025), Ezmina Samaroo’s Distant Shores New Horizons (2024), Black History Month with Teri Ejere (2023), and Denise Brown’s The Fabric of Freedom – Quilts and the Underground Railroad (2021).

Please read our Submission Guidelines before applying online using the form below before October 15th, 2025. A map of the Eve Smart Gallery is available here. For more information about this exhibition or for any questions please contact Lesley Bullard (GPAG Director/Curatorial Committee) at lesleypacific@gmail.com.
