This series of paintings is based on my visual art residency completed in March 2014 at ‘The Booth’ in Scalloway, Shetland Islands. The subject matter of these works includes: animals, landscapes, boats and signage, that typify this northern community with striking similarity and contract to Canadians’ own life and landscape north of sixty.”
