This exhibition will highlight the work of artists of all types from throughout the Squamish communities, featuring traditional practices and contemporary work in multiple media. The exhibition will also include artist talks, storytelling, demonstrations of carving and weaving, language and cultural practices seminars, and a canoeing component that takes place on the waters off Gibsons. A feature of the exhibition will be a symbolic story telling fire pit in the centre of the Gallery, surrounded by a display of Squamish Nation art (carvings, paintings, weavings, etc.).
