Close to the Bone | Marilyn Marshall
Marilyn Marshall’s pictorial language includes detailed and anatomical elements, the layered application of contour lines, the surreal juxtaposition of shapes. Her conceptual thrust is the experience of aging and impending death, and the artist’s response to these reflections with disbelief, awe, defiance, rage, grief–even grace and humour.
This is a short film Richard Nelson produced for Marilyn Marshall’s Close To The Bone show. The film is titled “Brushes With Bones.”
