October 20 – November 13

Meet the artists, Saturday, October 22, from 2pm – 4pm

Kamala Todd has curated a multimedia show which features Squamish ethnobotanist and artist T’uy’t’tanat-Cease Wyss and the IM4 Lab (Indigenous Matriarchs), plus a diversity of friends and family, to celebrate the strengths and brilliance of Indigenous women and the many ways we create, learn, transmit knowledge, innovate and remember.

In this moment of hope and despair, truths and violence, rebuilding and healing, crumbling and melting, We Carry Our Bundles Forward offers much-needed cultural nourishment through stories and artworks that invite people to listen, remember, and envision decolonized possibilities and futures.

“The concept of bundles in some Indigenous cultures references the medicines we carry. The gifts, teachings, nourishment, love, knowledge, relationships, pathways – but we also carry pain, burdens, struggles, the need for connections and learning,” says Kamala.

We Carry our Bundles Forward participating artists and groups: Kamala Todd; Dr T’uy’t’tanat-Cease Wyss; Senaqwila Wyss; Tsawaysia Spukwus Alice Guss; Loretta Todd; IM4 Media Lab; IM4 AR: cikâstehtin; Zachary George; Tracey Kim Bonneau; Jaad Kuujus (Meghann O’Brien); Eliot White-Hill, Kwulasultun; Casey Koyczan; Kai Todd-Darrell; Anostin Todd-Darrell; Garry Todd; Joah Lui; Mathéus Ivanick.
