Please join us to hear more about the mixed media works of Sunny Nestler and Josh Wallace and their respective exhibitions, Cone Worms and Tangled Knots and Listening into Non-Separateness, on Saturday April 23 at 2pm. Each artist will explain their concept and process and answer questions. Nestler’s exhibition features drawings, paintings, video and virtual reality technology based on the cone worm, as well as several other organisms that it exists with in various ecological relationships evocative of our culture. Wallace’s exhibition features sound prints and listening devices to enable musical interactions between humans and water in three of its forms: glacial ice, sea water and rain. The resulting spectrograms each tell a story and reveal a musical score.
Both artists will be in attendance on Saturday, April 23 from 2pm – 3pm to greet visitors and answer questions. Pre-registration is not required.
